The remainder of the national defense budget request was for discretionary programs that were not within the jurisdiction of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) and the Senate Armed Services Commit

In considering the FY2022 NDAA, Members of Congress debated various proposals to increase the amount of funding authorized in the legislation. The House-passed ver
