3、urpose:This issuance:In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive(DoDD)5124.02,establishes policy,assigns responsibilities,and prescribes procedures for the acceptance and use of voluntary services in DoD programs,as authorized by Section 1588 of Title 10,United States Code(U.S.C.).Contains provisions applicable to students who provide voluntary services to a DoD Component as part of an educational program,in accordance with Section 3111 of Title 5,U.S.C.,and Part 308 of Title 5,Code of Federal Regulations.
