3、ting this distinction is the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Actof 2001 (EGTRRA, P.L. 107-16), in which Congress enhanced temporarily aspects ofpermanent education tax benefits and authorized temporarily the Higher EducationDeduction.
